| WORKSHOP
SUPPORT STAFF For a long period we had no instruction at the workshop - now we have a number of instructors and mentors! Workshop attendees have the opportunity of working with these photographers or working entirely on their own. We also have our own in-house Photoshop expert, Digital Willy. Digital Willy is also our official workshop photographer, shooting most of the photos that you see on our web site, and often creating sets for the workshop. We plan to start offering Photoshop classes with Digital Willy sometime in the future. These are some of the photographers who often attend our workshops: ISRAEL COLON: Internationally known glamour photographer Israel Colon joined our workshop team in January, 2007, as a mentor, and has just recently joined the studio as a studio partner. He circulates throughout the workshop and gives helpful guidance as needed. Izzy specializes in available light shooting, but has recently branched out into studio strobe. He will often take a group of workshop photographers and a model or two to some of the more remote areas of our building and demonstrate how he gets his distinctive style images. Check out Israel Colon's photos from our last few workshops in the photo section of our Glamour101 Yahoo group. Also check out his many web sites - http://www.israelcolonphoto.com/ http://www.kindindustries.com/myProfile.php?UID=2337 http://www.freemodelcentral.com/israelcolon http://www.modelplace.com/?op=member&id=1324 http://www.supershoots.net/portfolio.cfm?ID=521 http://www.paidmodels.com/profile.php?id=420 http://www.musecube.com/colonphotography/ LOU "THE GLAMOURMAKER": My studio associate, Lou "the Glamourmaker" is probably the best photographer that I know, and another one of our mentors. He often builds sets and designs lighting setups for the workshop, and often runs our 11:00 am pre-workshop lighting session. Lou also provides models for us from time to time. Check Lou's work on his MM page - http://modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=1144 DIGITAL WILLY: Digital Willy started attending my workshop in September, 2001, and has attended over 90 workshops. He is now my official workshop photographer and has done many of the photos on individual model pages, posts a page of photos for each workshop, and has posted many individual model pages for our workshop models. He also brings special props and helps us set up theme sets for special occasions. Bill is also an expert at Photoshop and will answer your Photoshop questions at the workshop. We plan to run "Glamour Photoshop" classes at the studio sometime in the future. Check out Digital Willy's web site - http://www.digitalwilly.com/workshops.html PAUL "PASHAPHOTO" GORR: Paul is an up-and-coming glamour photographer who has done sports photography for many years. He has just become a partner of the studio; he speaks fluent Russian and has recruited a number of our best Russian models for the workshop. Check Paul's MM page at http://www.modelmayhem.com/pashaphoto JAY BUHAY: Jay is my best friend and is a tremendous help in running the workshop. He builds most of the sets that we use at the workshop and is always here at the studio late at night on Saturdays helping me get ready for the workshop. He also deals with all the emergencies that pop up during the workshop and makes sure that the one-on-one sessions run smoothly. Jay has attended over 75 workshops since September, 2003. Check out Jay's work on his MM page - http://modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=100256 TED THOMAS: My friend Ted Thomas, who has attended about 60 of our workshops as a paid attendee, volunteered to run a kind of "lighting mini-workshop" within the workshop, back in September of '06. Using the workshop models and working with up to three photographers at a time, Ted will give you individualized attention and teach you the basics of studio lighting, or just give you the opportunity to shoot some great shots with his multi-light setups. He does not attend all the workshops. Check out samples and info from Ted Thomas - http://www.glamour101.com/tedstips.html FRANK WOOD: Frank lives in Connecticut and recruits many of the models that we use at the workshop, and often gives them a ride to the workshop. Frank is also our location scout and has procured all of the locations that we have used in Connecticut. Frank has attended over 75 workshops since October, 2001. |

Workshop updates are only posted to the Yahoo group. The group also provides a forum for workshop-related topics. Please do not choose "no email" or you will not receive our notices.
